About my work

I work primarily in charcoal and watercolour to depict the beauty of nature, with a focus on the forest. I have always been drawn to trees, they are my refuge and inspiration.

The silhouette of the trees, and the pattern of the branches interplaying together really interest me. I hope to capture some of this detail in my work, to show a little of the wonder of nature that can be so easily overlooked and passed by.

'There are occasions when you can hear the mysterious language of the Earth, in water, or coming through the trees, emanating from the mosses, seeping through the undercurrents of the soil...but you have to be willing to wait and receive.' John Hay
